The GED Testing Center at SJCOE is closed until approximately November 1. Please contact one of the following

Testing is by appointment only on
Fridays from 8:30 to 1:00. You must be
18 years of age or older, or within 60 days of your 18th birthday, and must be
resident to be eligible to test. Please

testing. GED registration forms need to
be completed and turned in to the testing center prior to your testing
appointment. GED registration is Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 to 3:00. Please call before coming in to register.Identification

Identification must have name, birth date, signature and photograph.
School ID is not acceptable.
Testing Fees and Time Limits
- Total fee is $175.00 payable by
money order or cashiers check made payable to SJCOE (San Joaquin County Office
of Education). The fee must be submitted
prior to testing and is non-refundable.
- Examinees who begin testing at
another testing center are required to pay an additional $20.00 administrative
- If billing is required for payment
of fee, an additional $20.00 per examinee will be assessed.
- Examinees are responsible for all bubbling errors that prevent
their tests from being scored. Each
bubbling error will result in a fee of $15.00.
Tests will be scored upon payment of these error fees.
- Each subject of the GED test may be taken a maximum of three times in a calendar year. Retesting fees are $25.00 for each test retaken.

Arrive at the testing center by 8:30 a.m. Late arrivals will not be able to test.
Bring your identification with you on testing day. If you do not have appropriate ID (California driver's license, DMV picture identification, passport or military ID) you will not be able to test.
