By definition synergy is the “working together of two or more things, people or organization when the result is greater than the sum of their individual effects or capabilities.”(Encarta Dictionary) This concept is the foundation that has driven
this team of four teachers to develop a comprehensive, hands-on program supporting home school families.
Synergy works with families and children in grades K-8 offering a variety of classes that include parent coaching, science, phonics, multicultural awareness, and Spanish. Monthly field trips are planned around the curriculum in order to connect families with the community and provide children access to places they may not normally explore. Parents and children participate in monthly meetings and additional support meetings are scheduled as determined by the teacher. Teachers are available by cell phone and email at any hour. A monthly newsletter is emailed to parents who have internet access.
Sinergía (Grados K-8)
Sinergia es un programa K-8
de tiempo complete de educación en el hogar donde los padres/tutores prestan
apoyo de instrucción para el estudiante en su casa. El padre/tutor trabajara
con el maestro de registro para planificar un plan académico individualizado
para el estudiante. Un plan de estudios esta
previsto y a las familias se le anima a utilizar el mundo como su salón de
clases. Las evaluaciones previstas en la
educación también se administran. Se
ofrecen una variedad de clases los Martes y Jueves.
