Students in the independent study program meet monthly or more frequently as determined by both the student and teacher of record to ensure that student is making adequate progress and doing the work assigned to them. This allows the students to progress at their own rate and offers a flexible school day/week to meet each student’s individual needs. It is recommended that students wanting to be enrolled in independent studies have passed both parts of the California High School Exit Exam

Venture Online Independent Learning Academy (VOILA)

Students in this academy use online learning tools to complete their education. Students meet regularly with their teacher of record to ensure adequate progress using online tools. Students will also be required to complete projects and assignments outside of the online courses.
