Here is a brief summary of the responsibility of the ASC. (ASC By-laws Article II: Objectives)
The ASC will be responsible for making recommendation to the Venture Academy Governing Board on issues including, but not necessarily limited to:

- Maintaining our school as Student Centered
- Operating within our Mission /Vision Statements
- Fiscal management accountability
- Educational program/instructional strategies
- Policies and procedures for operations
- Recommending and reviewing with the director, administrators, teachers, other school personnel, parents, and Venture Academy School Governing Board the implementation of the school programs and periodically assessing the effectiveness of the programs and curriculum.
- Annually reviewing the school programs, and if necessary, making modifications to reflect changing needs and priorities.
- Informing and advising the Venture Academy staff and Governing Board regarding the school community, aspirations, and goals.
- Assisting in providing support to parents, students, and staff for Venture Academy programs.
- Fostering communication and understanding between the school, the County Office of Education, parents and community
